Gold Canyon Urgent Care is a new Urgent Care opening up in Gold Canyon, Arizona. I worked for two years in the Emergency Department with Dr. Scott Orava MD seeing patients. He knew that I had some programming experience and together we were able to create a great looking, simple site for his Urgent Care.

Some of the features of this site include: Web based administration, dynamic page creation and layout system, providers list, online feedback and more.

CMEcase.com

CMECASE stands for "Continuing Medical Education Case." CMECase is a project from the Boston University School of Medicine Dept of Family Medicine. This is a place where health care professionals can come to create "cases" to teach other physicians. This system boasts a robust dynamic page creation system that is highly customizable. There are multiple user levels in this system. Teachers can create cases with images, movies, text and quizes. Students then come to the site and review the case, answer questions, submit quizes and are awarded continuous medical education credits.

Out of all the projects I have ever worked on, this is the most fluid, customizable and adaptable. It has also been one of the most challening projects I have worked with in a long time.

Am I Hungry?

http://www.amihungry.net

Dr. Michelle May MD has pioneered the "no diet" approach to weight loss through behavioral modification. Her program, Am I Hungry?, has grown so large that she now other healthcare professionals teach her program around the country to "participants" in the program. These persons who teach Dr. May's method are "facilitators" of the Am I Hungry program.

AmIHungry.net was built to manage the increasing number of facilitators and participants. Dr. May manages her facilitators through administration controls on the website. Facilitators then manage their participants through administration controls on the site. Finally, participants can log in and view news items, go to the forums, blog, and mange their meetings.

This website is a highly complex mix of multiple level administration, and continues to undergo changes two years after it was initially launched.

When I was an undergraduate at Arizona State University, I wrote this program.

When patients are being fed through a tube in a healthcare situation, Dietitians and physicians typically have to write a very specific food order in the form of liquid nutrition.

This application uses a variety of factors to determine the optimal needs for a wide array of potential patients with different pathologies.
